The passing years of weather and wear embed authentic, one-of-a-kind details into the planks that no machine can recreate. These unique features

2. Why Choose Reclaimed Wood for Your Project?

Sustainability

Quite possibly the most dominating factor in choosing reclaimed flooring materials is the sustainability of the product. To put it simply, reusing wood that has already been harvested keeps more trees in the ground for longer. Opting out of the use of newly cut lumber not only gives antique barn wood a second lease on life, it declines the contribution to deforestation, making reclaimed wood possibly the most ecoconcious choice of flooring material.

Connection to Local History

Reclaimed wood has something no other material does - history. There's no replicating the decades worth of patina these boards have weathered. The use of reclaimed materials has been and continues to be consistently on trend in the interior design world.

"Reclaimed wood isn't just a design choice - it's historical preservation."

4. Care for Your Reclaimed Wood Floors

Proper care of reclaimed flooring will ensure that these storied boards last a lifetime. To keep your floors in their best condition, it's important to sweep regularly and mop occasionally with a cleaner that is wood safe. Steam cleaners are strongly discouraged as the moisture is projected into cracks and under the boards which can pose the risk of buckling and bowing under the planks.

This is our Barnside and Beam reclaimed flooring. The material is made from 100 year old barns and buildings sourced from America's south east.
